Ever since I got back into roleplaying, I've found GenCon to be a little disappointing when it comes to Old School, neo-Old School and DIY presence. Sure, there's been a booth, and a seminar or two, but precious few games (that tend to fill up quick) and not as much connection-making as you'd think there would be.
To light a candle rather than curse the darkness, I've taken the plunge of registering a session to do a run into the Castle of the Mad Archmage with my 52 Pages neo-OSR rules (http://ift.tt/1vaNiAE). Maybe this can be a thread for other people to post about their doings, to plan a meetup or to discuss why this community seems to disappear into the tumult of GenCon year on year.
