Played 5e yesterday, the characters being level 4 and exploring the Caves of Chaos.
My character is the defacto 'thief'. I am a Fighter with the criminal background, and despite being a capable fighter, am also good at thievery.
But....We blundered into a trap, and I was the only one to fall into a pit, that closes up.
Someone above the pit said "Do we have anyone that can figure out how to open it?" One reply was "Yea...he's in the pit"
The rest of the party got ambushed by goblins and giant rats while I tried to escape the pit, with no success.
Eventually, after a battle, the party freed my 'Thief' from the pit trap.
Awesome fun!
I did get to bash an animated kobold skeleton in the pit.
