The 2015 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid was named one of the 10 Most Fuel-Efficient Car Under $25,000 by KBB yesterday. With its industry-leading Hybrid Lifetime Battery Warranty, an EPA-estimated 40 mpg highway rating and no increase in price from 2014, the 2015 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid is as practical and affordable as it is efficient.
The 2015 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid starts at $26,000. It is also available in Limited trim for $29,500. The Limited adds 17-inch alloys over the base 16-inch alloys, 8-way power driver seat with lumbar support, leather, Premium door sill plates, Leather-wrapped wheel and shift knob, Auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink and compass.
The very well-equipped Base and fully loaded Limited model are both rated at 36/40 mpg city/highway.
The only option available for the Sonata Hybrid Limited is a $2,250 Premium Package that includes a panoramic sunroof, navigation system with high-resolution 7-inch touchscreen display, Infinity premium speakers, subwoofer and external amplifier (400-watt) and SiriusXM, NavTraffic, Weather, Sports and Stocks with a 90-day free trial.

The Sonata Hybrid’s all-electric mode saves fuel by shutting down the engine and decoupling through the large clutch during conditions that require a less power. All of this translates to improved efficiency and money saved for the driver.

Jack R. Nerad, Executive Editorial Ddirector, KBB:
Quote:
“The Hyundai Sonata Hybrid offers all the upscale feel and luxury features of the conventionally powered Sonata, but with the added benefits of a hybrid drive system that delivers exceptional fuel economy. The fact that the model also offers an exceptionally long warranty is the cherry atop the sundae.” |
While built on the previous generation’s platform and the next gen arriving in just over a month, one item Hyundai and KBB did not discuss. That being the Sonata Hybrid continues to be the largest hybrid available with 103.8 cu. ft. of passenger volume.
Discounts abound as this 2015 Sonata Hybrid Limited TrueCar pricing report shows.
