Mazda’s Much Anticipated CX-3 Makes Its Presence Known At the 2014 LA Auto Show

Everyone is jumping on the compact CUV bandwagon but this is based on the great handling and efficient Mazda3. A standout in its own segment.

Earlier tonight Mazda revealed its all-new 2016 Mazda CX-3 in a special event on the eve of the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. The all-new compact crossover SUV is the fifth model in Mazda's line-up of new-generation vehicles that feature the full suite of the company's award-winning SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY and KODO-Soul of Motion design.



The company stated from the global reveal that the CX-3 will begin to appear in Japanese Mazda dealership showrooms in the spring of 2015, and in the U.S. during the summer.



The 2016 Mazda CX-3 will be powered by my highly recommended 2.0L SKYACTIV-G I4 engine. And like the 1.5 and 2.2L SKYACTIV-Ds available in other markets, we will not see the 1.5L SKYACTIV-D in one here anytime soon. I am getting kind of peeved about this. :( It also appears that we will not be receiving the 6-speed MT either. Full specifications will be revealed closer to its release date.



It will arrive standard with FWD and an available AWD if desired.



The CX-3 will be available with a number of safety and infotainment features from the high end trimmed 3s including the Mazda Connect infotainment system and i-ACTIVSENSE advanced safety features.
