Guess what? Car pooler rang me last night and asked if I could drive! Apparently the garage where he had taken it for a recent job had scraped the bumper (fender?) and they were going to respray it today so we took my daughter's new car. For a 3 pot 1.0 engine it thought it was quite sprightly up to 30mph and performed well on the motorway, 3UP, decent frost overnight, cold 36°F (2°C).

The NEDC Combined fuel consumption is listed at 52.3mpg, we shall see what it actually does when we get round to filling it up - it came with 3/4 of a tank.
