No Toyota Echo for a while

My wife "generously" volunteered her Echo (it's in her name but I have been actually driving it) for her mother in law's trip to Florida. I will have no tanks to record for a good two months. Meanwhile, I'm setting up base in our '11 Kia Rio, the last year of the Rio's previous generation. It has the relatively ancient port-injected 1.6, tracing its roots back to the early 90s. It's in my name but the wifey has been driving that one. Preliminary data suggests what I had gathered before - the Rio just isn't as sharp at FE as is the Echo, though I have yet to inflate the tyres to suit my purposes, nor calibrate the UG. Seems to hold better FE under acceleration, but lags far behind at cruise and doesn't coast as well. We'll see how this goes...

I may see if I can get the Ma-in-law's Volvo '00 non-turbo V70 running again. If so, I know it'll be a fuel hog, but it's basically a nicer car and I'll choose to spend my seat time there instead.
