Saturday morning set off at 09:00 to go to Northampton, 43°F (6°C), cold hit to 8 miles but a great run down the motorway even though miles and miles of it are on 50mph temporary PSL (probably helped ;)):

I've been looking into a new car for a while and have considered PHEV's (like the Mitsubishi Outlander I test drove), regular hybrids like a Toyota Auris estate and non-hybrid petrol yet frugal cars.
After much research, this weekend I had a test drive in a manual and an auto Audi A3 Sportback 1.4 TFSI SE 150 Cylinder on Demand and have ordered a new S Tronic version with start/stop.
It will look similar to this one I drove but my wheels are 16" not 17" as I wanted a more comfortable ride than the Sport and a quieter ride than the S-Line:
Drove to a local restaurant for lunch before setting off home, 45°F (7°C), bit more traffic but still a good run:

What a great start :D Shouldn't be using my car for the commute this week as it's car pooler's turn. I've got to go to a funeral over 85 miles away on Thursday with wife and her dad (another one of his sister's :( ) so another longer run to come.
