With little luck, I should finally finish my CoC tonight, wrapped around filming of King in Yellow. I had an idea to make a "sequel" to the campaign - set in same CoC timeline, and in early 50s California. What should I read/watch to gain some basic material and the mood? Ellroy is a must of course, but I also don't mind actual history books, especially perhaps something on the shadier parts of Hollywood at the times.
