About the only thing that I miss among the 5e classes is a spontaneous divine caster with full spell progression, similar to the Favoured Soul in 3.x or the Oracle in Pathfinder.
I have generally grown fond of spontaneous casters for being less fiddly and requiring less bookkeeping than the traditional Vancian memorization - just print out the spells you actually know for quick access and then embark down the dungeon!
The only things the PHB gives us are the Cleric and the Druid (full casters with Vancian casting) and the Ranger and the Paladin (spontaneous but capped).
I figure it would be easy enough to do it as a houserule by taking the Cleric/Druid, swapping their spell progression table with that of the Sorcerer and then changing the bits that only make sense with memorization (and maybe exchanging other level features with that of the Sorcerer that rhyme well with spontaneous casting).
Before I embark on messing with a game that I haven't even run or played yet, I am wondering if someone has already done such a class write-up to save me the time. (Google has shown me nothing.)
