The 2015 Kia Rio 4-door sedan and 5-door hatch continues to offer a great looks, good value, and high end vehicle features many vehicles costing 3Xs as much are not even available with. Power folding side view mirrors anyone? ;)
The 2014 Kia Rio was refreshed with mild engine tuning changes, slight body tapers, and new rear bumper fascia to improve aerodynamics. In 2014, the Rio received a revised smart key remote that offered a folding design and interior changes including a new water temperature gauge and an enhanced leather-wrapped steering wheel.
The 2015 Rio sedan and hatch continues to be offered in three trims – LX, EX and SX – and equipped with the 138 hp and 123 lb.-ft. 1.6L GDI I4 with either the 6-speed MT in the base LX or 6-speed AT across the model range.
The 2015 LX 6-speed AT now includes an Active ECO system.
Sport-tuned suspension, 17-inch alloys and paddle shifters, give the high end trim 2015 Rio SX a sports oriented feel.
Both the Rio EX and SX models offer a chrome front grille surround, power windows with driver’s one-touch auto-up/down, power door locks with remote keyless entry, cruise control with steering wheel-mounted controls, and a tilt and telescopic steering column.
Standard on all trims includes an AM/FM/CD/MP3 audio with SiriusXM Satellite Radio, auxiliary and USB audio input jacks with full iPod and MP3 controllability via the audio head unit and steering wheel-mounted controls.
The Rio LX includes the Power Package ($1,200 for the AT only), which adds power windows with drivers automatic up/down functionality, and proximity key.
The EX trim is available with the Convenience Package ($1,200) includes 15-inch alloys, UVO voice-activated infotainment system, Rear Camera, auto headlamps, leather-wrapped wheel and shift knob, power-folding side mirrors with turn signal indicators, front fog lights, dual illuminated visor vanity mirrors, and dual map lights.
An available ECO Package ($400) can be added to the EX trim when the Convenience Package has been selected, which adds Idle, Stop and Go (ISG) for the aforementioned 1 mpg addition to its city number.
A Premium Package ($2,500) available on the SX trim includes a navigation system with SiriusXM Traffic, push-button start with Smart Key, leather seat trim, heated front seats and a power tilt/slide sunroof.
Convenience Package for the 2015 sedan remains at $1,200, no change.
Power Package for the 2015 sedan now costs $1,200, up $100 for 2015.
ECO Package for the 2015 sedan remains at $400, no change.
Premium Package for the 2015 sedan remains at $2,500, no change.
Destination and Handling (D&H) for the 2015 sedan remains at $800, no change.
