Mr. Roger Moulding, VP of Shell Global Marketing and Key Accounts, and Mr. Tak Uk Im, Exec VP and COO of Hyundai signed a global business cooperation agreement at Hyundai's global HQ in Seoul, Korea earlier today.
Two of my favorite automotive car brands partner through a five-year deal on a global scale.
Hyundai has just established a new five-year global business cooperation agreement with Shell. The agreement means that Shell retains its status as an officially recommended lubricants supplier for Hyundai vehicle worldwide.
The agreement continues Hyundais efforts to maintain the highest standards of customer satisfaction for its aftersales products and services. As well as safeguarding the supply of superior-quality lubricants to Hyundai dealers, the two companies will collaborate on future aftersales-related marketing initiatives.
Shell will also work with Hyundai engineers on developing new lubricant formulations and other technical innovations that meet the needs of Hyundais expanding range of vehicles. This activity will support the companys ongoing efforts to maximize product quality and durability, as well as reduce fuel consumption and emissions.

Hyundai and Shell are also collaborating on the race track. In 2014 Hyundai Motorsport and Shell became technical partners in the FIA World Rally Championships. In its debut year the Hyundai Shell World Rally Team secured a memorable 1-2 in Rallye Deutschland; scored podiums in three events Mexico, Poland and Germany; and took 12 stage wins along the way.
With 0W-16 weight synthetics being developed for the next generation of automobiles, do you think we'll see some of that in a future Hyundai? Now lets get some more fuel efficiency involved and they have a hat trick on their hands. ;)
