The 2016 Chevrolet Volt, which will go on sale in the second half of 2015, will have a more efficient drivetrain that will deliver a longer driving range on battery power, quicker acceleration and a quieter ride when the gasoline engine is running, General Motors CEO Mary Barra said Tuesday.
GM will unveil the new Volt at the North American International Auto Show in January.
Speaking at the Detroit Economic Club, Barra said it "will store more energy with fewer cells that will go further between charges."
The car will have more made-in-Michigan content as a result of the company's $240-million investment at the Warren transmission plant, which will make the Volt's electric-drive system.... [Read More]
