The MZ3 threw a fit yesterday morning. In one fail swoop the stability control and check engine light came on. Followed with a very metallic sound coming from the head area of the motor. I drove it on into work. Still does everything right. But the head noise is bad.
I called my local Mazda dealer where I bought my 2007 MZ3. They did not care to deal much on a new MZ3 or 6. Pretty much a take it or leave it type attitude. Blew them off and babied the MZ3 home. Went to my local ford dealer and got a very fast and sweet deal on a 2014 Focus SE with SE sport Package, Ruby Red Tint Paint, Auto Box :( and a few other things. All will be good if the auto box doesn't through up all over it's self. They are not known to be good tranny's.
I kept the 2007 MZ3. I will fix it, then sell, or keep, time will tell.
The drive in this morning was good for 40 mpg with 36 psi in the tires. Nothing extreme at all. 60 to 70 mph rolling with the grade of the road. No rattles, squeaks or ugly's from it. Seems to be comfortable. And over all well behaved hwy ride. Time will tell.
