$139/mo with no money down or $14,995 after all tax credits available to some and rebates available to all. A little less with bargaining.

2015 Chevrolet Spark EV - $14,995 after the deals while offering owners an EPA rated 82 miles of all-electric range on a full charge.

The Chevrolet Spark EV for the 2015 model year experienced a noteworthy $2,500 price drop at retail plus another $1,200 to $3,500 in rebates from Chevrolet. If leased, the Spark EV experienced a $60/month drop with no money down vs. $999 last year. It also received a higher final drive ratio that improves acceleration although reduces range a tad on the Interstate as well. Later this year GM states the diminutive Spark EV will receive OnStar 4G LTE with available Wi-Fi hotspot and arrive with two new exterior colors: Salsa and Lime.

Under the hood is a powerful 327 lb-ft of torque from 0 RPM motor, enabling a 0-60 time of just 7.2 seconds. Energy storage arises from an LG 18.4-kWh Li-Ion battery pack.

The Spark has three levels of charging including the std. Level1 120V and Level2 240V plus an optional SAE fast DC charging, which charges 80 percent of the battery in just 20 minutes.

Changes from the regular Spark include more aerodynamic wheels and tires, an active grille shutter, underbody panels, tire air deflectors and aero-optimized exterior mirrors.

The Spark EV is available in 1LT and 2LT trim levels.

Inside, the standard Chevrolet MyLink Infotainment system featuring a seven-inch color touch display audio system that includes apps for Pandora, Stitcher, TuneIn global internet radio and BringGo full-function navigation (requires smartphone app purchase). For those with compatible iPhones, the system brings the Siri Personal Assistant into the car. I loved BringGo NAVI on our cross country drive of the Spark two years ago!

Remote start/cabin pre-conditioning, heated driver and front passenger seats and push-button start are also standard.

2015 Chevrolet Spark Safety

It is the Spark’s safety that I have always been impressed with. On the passive front, the Spark EV offers 10 standard air bags, including both driver and passenger front, side, side curtain, knee and rear seat sides.

Actively to avoid crashes, StabiliTrak, TC, ABS, EBFD, BA, HSA and an Electric parking brake are all std.

2015 Spark IIHS Top Safety Pick

The Spark EV warranty is excellent with the following:

  • Three-year/36,000-mile warranty bumper to bumper

  • Eight-year/100,000-mile drive battery warranty

  • Five-year/100,000-mile transferrable powertrain warranty that includes emergency roadside assistance and courtesy transportation

  • Six-year/100,000-mile rust-through warranty

New Lower Pricing

The big news is that the Chevrolet Spark EV 1LT now starts at $25,995.

California and Maryland Spark EV owners may qualify for a $2,500 California state rebate or $2,300 Maryland excise tax exemption. Additional Chevrolet is offering $1,000 rebates in California, $1,200 in Maryland, and $3,500 in Oregon. After full federal and state tax credits and Chevrolet bonus cash, the Spark EV could be as low as $14,995.

Spark EV owners in California and Maryland are also eligible for High-Occupancy Vehicle, or carpool lane, access

Currently available at select Chevrolet dealers throughout California and Oregon, select Chevrolet dealers in Maryland will have Spark EV’s available beginning in mid-2015.
